Markéta Pekarová Adamová has been volunteering for many years in the Czech Republic and abroad. She worked in orphanages in Armenia and Morocco, helped the disabled in Serbia and participated in an environmental project in Scotland. As a Councillor of Prague 8, she was involved in organising camps and other activities for children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds.
She is married. In their spare time, she and her husband enjoy sports, cycling, cross country skiing and jogging. She has successfully run a marathon.
She speaks fluent English and basic German.
